Pokemon Blue / Red Cheats (GameBoy Color)

tools needed surf and fly go to safari zone  pay 500 dollars and you go up ask the guard
he says are you leaving so soon say no twice then save then turn it off then back on ask
the guard again he says pay 500 dollars say no then fly to cinnabar island surf up and
down the side of cinnabar island you might run in to a couple of Pokemon  till it says
ding-dong it takes you back to fushia city go out of the place and you are on mi island
don't go too much right or left up and down or  you will get stuck you can surf anywhere
even on land

You need a Pokemon that knows surf.



Go to Bill's house and the third spot to the left of the bottom of the right pool. Hold
down up and hit start at the same time. Save and reset. When you turn it back on, DON'T
MOVE, and use surf. You should surf through the wall below it. From there you can get to
the spot next to Bill's house. There's nothing there, but it's kinda cool.



HAVE FUN!

You can do this as soon as you have reached Fuchsia City.  (no SURF or STRENGTH needed)



Go to Route 8 and stand in front of the door.  (I suggest saving at this point.)  Walk
down one step and IMMEDIATELY press 'Start'; the bald guy shouldn't have noticed you yet.
 



Once the Menu is opened, FLY to Fuschia City and walk down over the ridges.  Initiate a
battle (making him notice you and walk up to you!) with the 'Swimmer' that's on-land to
the right once you hop over the last ridge.  



Win the battle.  Next, FLY to Lavender Town and go to the path on the left of the screen.
 When your Menu pops up press 'B' to exit and MISSINGNO. at level 7 will attack you.



NOTE: This strategy of FLYing before the bald guy sees you can be repeated with other
'non-defeated' trainers.  Examples?  Trainers on the cycling hill, the bird trainers
south of Lavender Town, etc.  



I caught Hitmonlee, Arbok, Pinser, Kangaskhan, Machoke, Growlithe and others on my Blue
Version doing this.  I don't care how you rate this because it worked for me.  I just
thought y'all'd like to know too.

do the "find a missingno" thing and catch it. it will not mess up your game. i have only
done it with a lv.80 missingno and wen you evolve it, all you have to do is give it a
rare candy and it will evolve into a khangeskan! i dont know what will happen if you do
the cheat with a lv.0 so just expirement.

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE CHEAT. THRU ALL MY YEARS I NEVER FIGURED THIS OUT!!!! NOW, FOR THIS
CHEAT YOU NEED SURF, STRENTGH, FLY, PROBE (DONT WORRY ILL SHOW YOU HOW TO GET PROBE.)

YOU USE STRENGTH TO MOVE THE TRUCK INTO THE WATER AND IT WILL SINK, AND THERE WILL BE
STEPS GOING DOWN. GO IN IT, AND YOU'LL FIND MANY THINGS.  I FOUND UNKNOWN TM'S. LIKE
TOMBSTONER. AND UNIMAGINARY POKEMON LIKE T.K, OR THE EVOLVE FORM OF THE 3 STARTER
POKEMON. AND THIS IS ALSO THE REAL LOCATION OF MEW, BUT I DIDNT CATCH IT, I ACCIDENTALLY
FAINTED IT, BUT  IM STILL WORKING ON IT. IT'S A CAVE AND THE POKEMON THAT ATTACKS YOU
ARE: MISSINGNO., MISSING M., SNORLAX, GOLEM, MACHAMP, ALAKAZAM, KANGASKHAN, CHANSEY, AND
THE EVOLVE FORMS OF THE 3 STARTER POKEMON. NOW, 2 GET PROBE, YOU FLY TO THE INDAIGO
PLATEAU AND WHEN YOU SEE LANCE, AND TRY 2 PASS HIM, IMMEIDIETLY PRESS START, IF IT DOESNT
WORK, PRESS SEVERAL TIMES, IT'LL EVENTUALLY WORK. THEN SAVE, AND TURN YOUR GAME BOY OFF,
TURN ON AND CONTINUE, NOW YOUR ALLOWED TO GO TO WHERE YOUR ENEMIE IS AND THE POKEMON HALL
OF FAME ROOM. YOU'LL SEE GIOVANNI AGAIN. YOU'LL BATTLE HIM AND WIN, THEN HE ASKS FOR A
TRUCE. SAY YES AND HE GIVES YOU TM 00 WHICH CONTAINS PROBE! THE ONLY POKEMON ELIGABLE OF
LEARNING PROBE ARE ALAKAZAM, HYPNO, GENGAR, BASICALLY THE PHYCHIC POKEMON. AND MAGMENITE
AND MAGMETON CAN LEARN IT TOO. WHAT PROBE DOES IS IT ALLOWS YOU TO PROBE A BOULDER FORM A
PLACE AND BRING IT SUMWHERE.

To get back on the S.S. Anne, you need a Pokémon that knows surf.  Go to the guard that
blocks your way.  You should stand diagonally from him [kitty corner].

Press your Right arrow and Start at the same time really fast so your start menu pops up
as soon as your step ends.  Hit save.  Turn your gameboy off then back on.



Now press start and go to your Pokémon and hit surf.  It should say you surf, but
instead of going into the water, you go overtop of the man.  Go forward and you will be
behind him.  Keep walking and there you have it, the S.S. Anne.



If you want to know why this works, it's because the game programmers make it so when you
save, you are facing in the down position.  When you do the Right+Start move, the game is
still taking the step.  When you save it saves your direction, which looks in front of
you to see what it can or can't do, as right but the game wants you down because you
saved.  When you press surf it looks at the water in front of you to surf but goes down
because of the game wanting you to be facing down.

This cheat really works. The way to carry out this cheat is simple, but it takes much
time. First, you will need a magicarp. It works best if it is bred from the legendary red
gyrados. Go beat the Elite Four, with magicarp in your lineup. Then go to The area south
of Cinnabar Island, swimming on a magicarp, that learned surf when it was bred from the
red gyrados. Then catch a drowzee with a poke ball, while in the ocean. Teach that
drowzee hyper beam and psychic. Beat the whole Elite Four with it, and only it. After
that, the cheat shall work.

When you enter Cerulean City head north to Nugget Bridge. Then your rival should come up,
beat him. Then go and beat the 5 people on the bridge and the rocket person that gives
you the prize, 

A nugget. After you beat him, save it. 

Once you have done that head north then left over the river so you’re right next to the
mountain. Then if you go down you should see a guy hiding in the grass. Do not verse him.
If you do, turn your game boy off and on and do it again. Instead of versing him, keep
walking around in the grass until you find an Abra. Then catch it. Once you have caught
it, save the game. After that head north just one step above the guy in the grass. Take
one step to the right so that you are now directly above him but he is still off your
screen. So now that you are above him but cant see him, press down and then press start
quickly after you press down. Now that your menu is up, use teleport and go back to the
Pokemon Center.

Now you should be at the Pokemon center without the start button functioning. Now head
back to Nugget Bridge but this time take a right. Then battle the guy who has a slowpoke,
beat him. 

Do not walk directly up to him, otherwise your game will freeze and you will have to
start all over again. Instead, make him walk towards you. After you have beaten him, your
start button will function again. So press start and teleport to the Pokemon Center. Now
head back to Nugget Bridge, your start menu will pop up. Press B and you will be in a
battle with mew at level 7.

There are different types of rare candies. some rare candies only give you level ups, and
doesnt increase your stats, like the 1's you find in caves. All the other 1's, you have a
better chance of having your pokemon grow stronger... trust me, i finished the game 10
years ago, and i still play today for more results..

go to safari zone and use a super rod in water(it helped to use poke flute a few times)
and eventuallly youll find a dratini in the water. the catch it@!!!!









also you can catch a specail pokemopn called slamance (ive never heard of it but it is a
wicked --- pokemon which is a giant dragon) if u walk through a wall to the left right
before elite 4!!! PS: salamance had bad-ish graphics for it couse it was some what of a
tester.

first u go to the cycling station at celadon city and do not go close to the security and
u cant see the gambler too,and walk until the security says something and keep holding
the left botton and u go up automaticly but keep on holin the <- botton and until u go up
u should see gambler on top of a counter.

To change colour of screen press right and b at the same time when you first turn on it
goes black where white is and white where black is.

Cool coincidence? or something else? I  didn't realize this already, Articuno,Zapdos, and

Moltres have spanish numbers in them. The number 1 is in Articuno, which has UNO. Zapdos
has #2,

which is DOS. Moltres has #3, which is TRES. Pretty cool huh?

wen ur in tht pokemon burial place in lavander wen you get to the ghost of cubones mother
get the health down to 1 pixel the paralyse and put it to sleep then catch it with a
great ball, every time the ball shivers tap b and you should catch it. btw put it in the
pokemon storage system and wait until you do the rare cany cheat and then get it to level
100 before you use it for fights and it is stronger than mewtwo. the attacks that it does
are in japanese but after every turn it regenerates and heals itself of any burns or
anithn. have fun

You need a link cable, 2 pokemon games, and 2 gameboys for this trick. On 1 gameboy, have
a strong pokemon that you both want. On the other, have a weak pokemon that your willing
to give up for the other one. Enter Trade mode and trade pokemon. On gameboy 1 (the one
with the good pokemon), turn off the gameboy right before it says ''Trade Complete!''.
The 2nd GB should say ''Trade Complete!'' on it. If done correctly, the bad pokemon on GB
2 should be deleted and replaced with the good pokemon. The good pokemon on GB 1 should
still be there.

   THESE ARE TIPS FOR THE NEW PLAYERS OF THE GAME.



 1. ok, at the beginning of the level < a new game > when you are in your room, go to the
computer to get a free potion that u can use for your fight against Gary.

2. always save after a big fight. or when your pokemon evolves or if they get a level
up.

3. catch a geodude when u are in mt moon cuz u gona need a rock type to defeat lt. surge,
the electric pokemon gym leader.

4. catch a rattata cuz when it learns hyper fang, it will ko the enemy

To do this cheat, you need:

1. Surf

2. Fly

3. Teleport



Go to the Indigo Plateau, the original way, before you can just fly there, go surf in the
area that the lady asks you if you have the badge, whatever. go left, all the way, and
swim to the top, use fly, and a whole new town map will appear. The town and cities
include real life cities, like toyko, and the country Japan! All the pokemon are level
120 even like pidgeys, and rattatas, and nidorans. to leave, use teleport, it wont
teleport you to the last poke-center, it teleports you to the last poke-center in the
original world. You can do this cheat as much as you like.

go to the gambler next to vermillian press start so he doesnt see you then fight a
youngster MAKE SURE HE GOES UP TO YOU win then go to a place with a ditto make it
transform in to you then defeat it go back to vermillion go up to the gambler the start
menu will pop up press b and mew or another pokemon will appear

go to celadon city, then go to the hotel.their would be a pc in the regular pc in the poke
center

NOTE:you need to have fly and surf and have unlocked cinnarber island and safari zone!



1.first go inside the safari zone(pay $500)

2.walk around until you have about 50-100 steps left.

3.go outside, the person ask you if you want to leave say NO!

4.repeat the last step.

5.save inside the safari zone and turn power off then back on.

6.go out the safari zone and the guy shouldn't ask you if you want to leave.

7.instead he will say welcome and all that but don't go back inside the safari zone.

8.fly to cinnarber island.

9.use surf on the right coast of the island.

10.surf half on land and half in water.

11.keep doing this until a message appears and it will say PA:DING DONG. you will
automaticlly be transfered to the safari zone.

12.exit the building and there you have it, your in glitch town.



NOTE:you could get stuck in one of the spots so you have to use fly to exit.

I accidentally found out this one. 

1.Fly to Vermilion

2.exit through the LOWER RIGHT NOT UP.

3.Around the building you will see, look at the tree standing alone.

4.Face at the tree on the north side.

5.press A, then you found an escape rope.

I am 100% sure this happens. Please rate good.

When you find mewtwo, and try to battle it, i remommend you using a pokemon with recover,
or rest, body slam, sleep powder, or spore. and dig. the pokemon who knows all those
moves are probably Charizard, Blastoise and Venasaur.

Go to Virdian, talk to the guy that shows you how to catch a Weedle, watch him do it, fly
to Cinnabar, Surf along the east, half on water half on land. There I've found Muks,
Haunters, and Mewtwos over Level 100. (You'll have to duplicate your Master Balls to
catch all of these though)

i have not tryed this but i know it can be done

make sure you have a rare candy at the 6th slot

of your item list AND GET MISSINGNO ya heard me!

the rare candy will be cloned 128 times keep feeding a pokemon the rare candy until it
gets to level 100 and feed it again and you have level 0!

you walk in the gambler place and by 50 coins then go to the first one on th right and
hold b and pump a. it  works you keep on winning

first go up to the guard(in front of him)and then he will say the first line then hold the
left arrow(when he says the end of the first line)and the n he will say u need a bicycle
to pass,FORGET IT,just keep going foword so u can fully go to the door.         it works
100%.hope u will get it.:D

There is a way to get a full pokedex, but it takes

a lot of time. Go through the game beating as few

people as possible. Next, do the mew cheat. The mew cheat is simple. Go to lavender town
and go left. When you get to the undergroun tunnel door, 

save. Then take a step down and quickly press START. Then fly to an area. Fight a person,
BUT MAKE SURE THEY WALK UP TO YOU. After you beat them, fly to lavender town and go left.
The start button should pop up. Hit b and you will get in a 

battle with a pokemon. Catch it with a great ball 

or better. For the people left of lavender town, go to Cinnabar and go right. There
should be a 

swimmer. Do the same. Go out of her sight, go left, the quickly hit start and fly. Go to
lavender, or anywhere but the water by cinnabar. YOU CAN'T FIGHT ANYONE IN THE SAME AREA
AS THE PERSON YOU FLEW AWAY FROM. Then fight. Try expir-imenting. You may get something
rare!

I also found that instead of the menu popping up automatically words as if you were
talking to someone will appear saying, "With your ability, you could become a top leader
in TEAM ROCKET!" than the battle starts

Just like Mew,press down+start before gambler sees you.Then fly to Celadon City.Go to the
Cycling Road and then don't move.You will see 2   bikers below you.Go past them and you
should see  a cueball or biker looking directly up.Don't go directly in front of him(will
freeze game if you do)go to where he walks to you.Battle him and win then fly to Lavender
Town and go out east.Before you get a chance to get out your start menu will pop up and
then you need to press B and a Lvl.7 Blastoise will appear.Note:all Pokemon you try to
obtain by using the mew glitch will all be at Lvl.7 so use the infinite rare candy trick.

Moltrace is in victory road

Articuno is in the seafome islands

Mewtwo is in the cave that is garded by a guy who goes away after you beat the eleit four

wonder of in glitch city and you should run across a pokemon called missingno note:there
is  another method

note2:you should know by now that missingno is a glitch pokemon

note3:you will lose all pokemon you have

but...the 4th item in your bag will be cloned 120 times

You must have some balls of any type, fly, and surf. go to viridian. let the old guy show
you how to catch a pkmn. now fly to cinnabar. surf up and down the black line flanking
the island at the right. you should find pkmn of lvl 0-100+, including MISSINGNO, the
glitch pkmn.

NOTE: this will seriously F up your game. I accept no liability for your save game -
after doing this cheat, you will have to start a new game to clear it.

beat the elite four and go to the cave in cerlatin city and look around in you will find
mewtwo

When you start new game, play snes 100 000 000 times and 100 lvl Golem with dildo on his
head will appear. And you'll catch it without pokeballs. Easy.

first do the missingno. cheat till you see M then catch him do not nickname him. Then he
will still be there but be invisible catch him while he is invisible and he will be a
ditto.P.S. to see M it depends on your name my name was bill.

there is a tree blocking the way 2 goldenrod city

to get the tree to move just use a squirt bottle

the tree comes alive. its actually a Sudowudo! ITS THE ONLY ONE IN THE GAME SO COME
PREPARED WITH ULTRABALLS OR BETTER! i accidently made my sudowudo faint so now i cant get
anothe 1. dont make thedame mistake. sinin out pokefreak

go to safari zone then go out they will say "leaving yet" say no then save turn your game
off after u save then turn it on . go out and fly to cinnabar surf east and go to seafome
island, just keep on walking until u hear the pa bell. go out then your in glitch city
NOTE:KEEP ON PRESSING START TO SEE THE REAL PLACE... AND BE CAREFUL OF YOUR STEP.

THERE IS REALLY A MEWTHREE. FIRST GO TO THE SSANNE AND GO 2 THE RAILING PART.HAVE A LV.100
GOLEOM THAT NOS STRENGTH USE STRENGTH ON THE RAILING AND GOLOM WILL FAL DOWN. GO 2
VERMILION CT.AND GO 2 THE WATER NOW IF U LOOK THERE IS A STRAMGE POKEMON?(MEWTHREE
DUH???????)THIS MIGHT NOT WORK THIS GUY TOLD ME, WELL GOOD LUCK!

when you fight start off with a weak pokemon and when you get the option go onto
pkmn(above run)

pick a stronger pokemon after the enemy has fainted both pokemon will get xp.

This cheat doesn't help you much in winning the game, but it is really awesome anyway.
It's similar to getting to Glitch City. Follow the steps in order.



1. Fly to Fucshia, and enter the Safari Zone. 

2. Go to the Rest House (first house you'll see) and then come back to the beulding. 

3. When the guy asks "Leaving early?" say no and go back out.

4.Repeat steps 2 and 3.

5. Go back out, save your game, quit, and then restart again.

6. The gay will ask you if you want to go and test your luck again, but say no, and
leave.

7. Fly to Cinnibar Island. 

8. Surf along the coast for a while. You'll have access to Safari Zone Pokemon, and if
you duplicated Master Balls, use those.

9. Keep surfing until the PA calls you.

10. You'd have transported back to Safari Zone entrance. Normally, if you just left,
you'd find yourself in Glitch City. 

11. Well, let's not leave just yet. Talk to the guy closest to the entrance of the
building. He'll ask you if you're new, and say no.

12. Now you can leave, but instead of finding yourself in Glitch City or Fuchsia, you
will have just exited the Pokemon Mart on Cinnibar Island.



Like I said before, it's not useful, but pretty cool anyway.

u can catch blastoise in the game at lvl 7

to get probe u have to beat the game go to da elite four and when u get to lance u skip
him and press start if it doesnt work try many times and then u have acces to the hall of
fame u will see giovanni u fite him win he says do u want to truce say yes he gives u
probe 

first get a jelly bean then eat it then get another jelly bean then eat it then get
another jelly bean then eat it then get another jelly bean and give it a piggy back then
shove up your   @$$
