Super Mario Brothers Cheats (Nes)

These (lol) cheats / hints are all BS. Kinda sad that you all get kicks out of bs-ing
other people.

At the start of the board jump on the first Turtle guy and kick him to the right... stay
after him and watch him kill the little mushroom men.... but be careful.. at the end is a
pipe and he will come back at you. 

Jump over him and you get a free guy!!! EVERY TIME I might add!!!

I discovered that you can actually choose which world to start on.  I was at the start
screen and I happened to press a few buttons and when I pressed start I began on a
different world.  After a few minute of trial and error, I discovered that for each time
you press B before you press start you will advance 1 world.  For example if you press it
once you will begin on 2-1.  If you press it 7 times you will begin on 8-1.  I'm not sure
if you have to beat the game first to do this, but I had beaten it twice and whenever I
played the goombas were replaced by beatles.  I was playing on the Virtual Console of the
Wii and I was trying to get back to the original gameplay.  I tried resetting the game,
but this didn't bring me back to the original, nor disable this cheat.

You Have to be Big mario(or fire mario)get to the last level like 1-4,2-4.you have to jump
on bowser and the axe.next you will start as big mario,get a mushroom and he will turn
into small mario.get the fire flower and there you go,SMALL FIRE MARIO!!!

land on that guy that kidnaped peach and the axe at the same time.

When your game is over, hold A and press Start on the title screen. This lets you continue
from the beginning of the world that you were defeated in. For example, if you died in
World 3-3, you'll continue from 3-1. 



Warp to World 2, 3, or 4

In World 1-2, use the elevator platforms to jump onto the ceiling above the end pipe.
Behind the wall you'll find a Warp Zone, where you can warp to World 2, 3, or 4. 



Warp to World 5

In World 4-2, walk on the ceiling past the end pipe to find the Warp to World 5. 



Warp to World 6, 7, or 8

This is the second Warp Zone you can reach from World 4-2. After the first elevator lift,
there is a pit and three brick blocks above you. Jump around, and you'll find four hidden
coin blocks under the three bricks. Use the hidden blocks you just uncovered to hit the
first brick, which will sprout a Vine. The Vine leads to some bonus Coins and the Warp
Zone. 



Invisible 1-Up Mushrooms

If you collect all the coins in an x-3 world, the next x-1 stage will have an invisible
block containing a 1-Up in it. For example, getting all the coins in World 1-3 will
activate the 1-Up in World 2-1. Alternatively, you can trigger the invisible 1-Up in the
x-1 stage by warping to it. Even though you can't do any of those things before World 1-1,
it has a hidden 1-Up in it anyway. 



Multiple 1-Ups: World 3-1

At the end of World 3-1, two Koopa Troopas walk down the staircase leading to the
flagpole. Let the first one go by, then move as far to the right as possible on one of the
steps. As the second Koopa Troopa comes down, jump straight up to stomp it, then don't hit
another button on the controller. If done correctly (a quick, short jump usually works),
Mario will kick the shell into the stair and stomp it again as it ricochets, starting a
chain reaction. The points will start to rack up, eventually awarding you 1-Ups for the
consecutive stomping. If the chain reaction stops, which may happen sometimes, just press
A and the cycle will start again. Try not to get more than 128 extra lives in reserve or
your game will end next time you lose a life. 



Bonus fireworks

If you touch the flagpole when the last digit of the timer is a 1, 3, or 6, fireworks will
go off, giving you 500 points each. The number of fireworks you get matches the last digit
on the timer. 



Stupid squids

In water levels, the Bloobers can't touch you as long as you're walking on the sea floor. 



Buzzy Bowser

Killing Bowser in 3-4 with fireballs reveals that he was really a Buzzy Beetle. The
interesting part is that Buzzy Beetle's first appearance as an actual enemy is in 4-2, and
he can't be killed with fireballs... 



Mario and the beanstalk

After you climb a Vine into a secret area, get back on the Vine, climb up to the top and
keep holding Up on the Control Pad. This creates a weird effect, like Mario is dancing on
the Vine! 



The downside to polesitting

If you jump over any flagpole (it's possible in 3-3 or in any level with the right Game
Genie code), you won't find anything special. The level goes on forever, there are no
obstacles/enemies, and you have to wait for time to expire to get out of it.

note2:this world is mistical infact instead of faceing browser at 9-4 you face him at 9-3!

Ok, when you are super mario you shuld jump over lava and in mid air press: l, r, b,
right,up left, a. And u shuld do it quick so that a mysterious bubble will appear around
you and you cant get hurt for the rest of the level. 
2.
When your facing bowser jr at the end of all minor and most major kastless you shuld jump
and land on him(even without the bubble) untill you have one life and then go back up in
the castle and jump on him once and he will hide in his shell and then u jump as soon as
he is in their. if you land right on the middle of the shell you will hav infinte lives
and (this will only work if you did not save when entering the castle)

when you enter world 5's ghost house, their will be punching ghosts. If you hit them once
on the head, you will be able to hit them on the arm next jump. So hit them on the head
and then jump right in front of their arm and you will land on top of them, theirfore
killin them and you will unlock all mushroom houses on all the worlds for ever and this
may take a few tries:(

this is a awful website and never listen to it just go have fun and enjoy life

How do I get through the final castle to save the pricess?  I keep jumping over bricks and
under fire and I keep doing the same thing over and over again, then I run out of time.

This only works on Super Mario All Stars



On any castle, jump on the ax when the time says 000. When you save Toad, the time will
shoot all the way up to 999 and start counting down, and you get 50,000 points!



On the original Super Mario Bros, you don't get any points when you beat a castle. You do
get points in a castle on Super Mario All Stars, and that's why it only works on this
game.

press this at any time during the game to get 99 lives up up up  left left down right

In worlds 1-1/1-2 there are hidden mushrooms. In world 1-1 go past the 1st 4 through 5
pipes and look for a green bush. On the left end of the plant jump and get the 1-UP
mushroom. In World 1-2,jump on the platform that has 12 horizontal bricks (6 on each
side). at the right end jump to open the box then race to the mushroom 'till it falls.

to fet a extra life you need to gather 99 coins and it will add you another life also

if you gather 240 coins you can have the oppurtunitie of playing as princes peach

if you wish to play as luigi just highlight the game and press R+L
and a voice will say lugie even if you try it will not be saved as lugi but like mario

to win the games you will have to deafeat the biggist ,onster in the game  the easist way
is to get a huge mushroom so you can become big and jump on the monster try to move a lot 
so you will turn normal size again once so quickly touch a red button so the moster cant
get up any more and princess peach will come down happily and give you a kiss

How do get past the dungeon at the last castle? It's like you just jump over fire. You
just keep on going until you run out of time, there's nothing else to do. Oh and you don't
advance on the bottom, you 're just stuck in the middle right past the flag.

If your died by the enemies. You could be your Mario into invisible.
press B Left Left A Down.

get to the first warp zone(dont use the minus world glitch)and select world 4 now beat 4-1
and use the beenstouck warp zone at 4-2 get to world 8 and beat that.
