Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Cheats (PlayStation 2)

Press X button to stop the talking, then hold Square until the Codec conversation is done.
This is useful when advancing past long, boring intermissions, or intermissions that you
have already viewed.

Enter Hold 1 or 2 on the ship (right after the first boss fight...the Hold rooms are where
the Marines are listening to the Commander give his speech). Once inside of either one of
the first 2 Hold rooms, creep past the Marines, and look back at them from the north end
of the room, so you can see their faces. In each Hold room (or at least one of them), you
should spot a few Marines without any pants on (don't worry, they still have some white
boxer shorts, though). 

  Not really a trick, but a cool Easter Egg nonetheless. =)

After you beat the game once, start a new game. Then, select 'Tanker' for the level. Get
as many dog tags as possible on any of the level difficulties. If you get 30 or more, you
will get the Bandana. It gives you infinite Ammo.

Do 100 pull-ups while hanging from a ledge (press the R2 and L2 buttons to do a pull-up)
and your grip strength meter will increase.

After Snake Gives you the High Frequency Blade and Equipment, knock him out and shake him
to get his dogtag.

When you enter the Plant, Campbell will tell you to look for a computer in order to use
the radar. When you find it, Raiden will use it and a name entry screen will appear.
Enter your own name, sex, birthday, blood type, and nationality. After that, continue and
complete the game. During the ending sequence Snake will ask Raiden what is on his neck.
Raiden will take it off, revealing a dog tag with your name on it.

Successfully complete the game. The title screen will turn blue.

Successfully complete the game in extreme mode without using rations.

While watching any Codec conversation, move the left & right analog sticks and the
character's faces will move. Press on one of the sticks, and the faces will zoom in
close. Press the R1 or R2 button while Snake or Raiden is listening to someone, and you
can hear their thoughts! Some of the guys' secret attitudes toward the other characters
are quite funny!

Successfully complete the game to unlock the extreme difficulty setting

When first playing as Raiden, enter the name ''Hideo Kojima'' into the first node. It will
automatically put in Hideo Kojima's blood type, birthday, sex, and nationality.

Much like the Codec transmissions, you can also press L1 or R1 to zoom in during an
intermission. The harder you press, the more the zoom. You will hear a gunshot. While
holding the button, use the Right Analog-stick to move the view. Also during certain
parts of some intermissions are sections where it looks like you are viewing the scene
through a camera or binoculars. You can use the zoom feature with these as well, and the
onscreen distance or zoom indicators will increase realistically the more you zoom in.
This also can be done at the beginning of the game, before pressing Start.

When logging into the computer in the Plant, enter the current date as your birthday. A
birthday message will appear. 

  You can find out if it is one of the guard's birthdays in the game by taking his dog
tag. Take out your Digital Camera and press Triangle. It should say the guards name, and
if it happens to be his birthday, it will say "Happy Birthday" bellow it.

During a cut-scene, you can press R1 to zoom in, and use the right analog stick to move
the camera around.

At the clear code screen, quickly press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X,
and Circle. You will hear Snake yell to confirm the code. It doesn't do anything, but
it's funny.
