Quick start

When the countdown starts, wait until the "2" begins to disappear, then hold 2 to get a
boost at the start of the race.

When the timer to begin the race just starts, hold 1 + 2. As soon as it is about to say
"Go", release both buttons and press 2 as you would normally do to start the race. If done
correctly, you will get a nice boost that will usually put you in first place in the 50cc
and 100cc class. Note: This may require some practice.

Use same character with more than one player

This glitch works because you are automatically placed on the character you last selected.
First, make have player one choose the character desired. Next, deselect the character,
and move off it. Have player two select the character. Go back one screen, then enter the
character selection screen again. You should now both be on the same character. Then, have
both players select the character. Note: This trick also works for three and four
players.

Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding bikes:

Bubble Bike (small): Win the Mirror Leaf Cup.

Dolphin Dasher (medium): Win the Mirror Star Cup.

Kamek (small): Defeat all the Nintendo ghosts in the Star Cup.

Magikruiser (small): Play on eight different courses in Time Trials mode.

Phantom (large): Win the Mirror Special Cup.

Quacker (small): Win the 150cc Star Cup.

Shooting Star (Twinkle Star, large): Win the 100cc Star Cup.

Sneakster (Nitrocycle, medium): Get a "One Star" rank or better in all 100cc Wii Grand
Prix Cups.

Spear (Torpedo, large): Unlock 12 Expert Staff Ghost in Time Trials mode.

Zip Zip (Rapide, medium): Win the 100cc Lightning Cup.

mushroom from goomba

if you have a green shell keep it until you see a goomba then shoot your green shell at
the goomba and you should get a mushroom :)

shortcut on mushroom gorge

YOU NEED A MUSHROOM, INVINCIBILITY, OR MEGA MUSHROOM TO MAKE THIS CHEAT WORK!Right after
you pass the finish line and start your 2nd or 3rd lap, turn right, use your item. If done
correctly, you should land on a bouncy mushroom platform.You will bounce and hit another
mushroom platform(try to do a trick) and land on a bridge. Then, continue the race.

when u fall off any course, press 2 o get a little boost as son as u hit the ground. This
might take practice.

how to do ultra recovery

oh im sick of people cheating me, they fly off the track yet they re-appear right in front
of me every time. i heard its called ultra recovery but i cant seem to figure out how to
do it..

Shortcut in DS Delfino Square!

When you get to the first part with the sea shore beside it, on the right side (Left on
mirrior mode)there are crates beside some buildings. There is a gap there. Use a super
mushroom and go in the gap. You will end up on the second sea shore. You will be 5 places
higher. (e.g.You're in last place, do the shortcut and you will be in 7th place.)

Fast time in Coconut Mall

To get the Expert Staff Ghost on the Coconut Mall time trial, use the Wild Wing medium
kart. Take a right into a store on the right side after the first escalator, then use a
mushroom. You will see a Delfino tree person at the door.

Hidden items in Mushroom Gorge

There are some Goombas on the track that contain Super Mushrooms or absolutely nothing.

A little trick in Delfino Square

In Delfino Square, after you cross the bridge without any zip pads on it, drop down onto
the little dock and get the Item Box there.
On Mario Kart DS, if you hit the fruit stand, a mushroom will pop out. I don't know if it
will work for the Wii version though...

Shortcut in Delfino Square

To use the shotcut you need a mushroom. Pass the finish line, once you pass the mystery
block, take a left turn. Jump the small ramp, and use the mushsroom. If you jumped at the
right time you should land on the dock and get the mystery block. It dosn't work all the
time but give it a try.

Hidden items in DS Delfino Square

Hit the crates on the side of the road with either your kart or a shell. A Super Mushroom
will sometimes pop out, but very close to the edge.

Quick recovery on bike after being hit

While on a bike, after you are hit or run into an item, perform a wheelie to increase your
speed quickly.
